Caslin, Elizabeth M. "Betsy"

Elizabeth M. “Betsy”  Caslin, 21, of Alexis, IL. died at 3:00 A.M. Saturday, October 18, 2008 near Alexis, IL.

She was born October 28, 1986 in Galesburg, IL. the daughter of Michael W. and Bonnie M. (Kuberski) Caslin.  She was raised and educated in Alexis graduating from United High School in 2005. 

Betsy received her Associates Degree in Travel/Tourism from Kaplan University in Davenport, graduating with honors and a member of Phi Beta Kappa..  She was currently finishing work on her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Kaplan University. Her goal was to become a wedding planner.

While attending school Betsy currently was working as a registration representative at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.  She previously had worked at Sam’s Club in Davenport for 2 years.   Betsy was a avid collector of anything Betty Boop.  She loved spending time with her friends and always had a smile for everyone.

She was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Alexis. 

Surviving is her parents, Michael and Bonnie Caslin of Alexis; one sister, Jennifer (Martin) Sterr of Alexis, one brother, Christopher (Alice) Caslin of Mt. Pulaski, IL; 3 nieces, Lexis, Troian & Jaylin; 1 nephew, Connor; Paternal grandparents, William & Marlene Caslin of Alexis; 1 aunt, Susan Caslin of Arlington Heights, IL; 2 uncles, Dave Caslin of Wataga and Leo (Cindy) Kuberski of Branson, MO. close cousins, Molly and Brian Caslin

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alex & Margaret Kuberski.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Alexis with Fr. Brian Herlocker celebrating.  Burial will be in Alexis Cemetery.  Friends may call after 3:00 P.M. Monday, October 20, 2008 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis where her family will be present from 5:00-8:00 P.M.  A memorial fund has been established to be designated later.
